Noise Party, which bills itself as the Twin Cities' premiere experimental music showcase, returns for its 15th edition on Friday, October 30, at The Cedar Cultural Center.
The evening runs in two continuous parts with an intermission and live improvised visual projections. Several Syntropolis directory artists are on the bill:
- i once knew a ghost: the ambient/noise project of visual artist, musician and Noise Party co-founder Shane Donahue, built from samples and live synthesizers.
- Not Yet All Things: an experimental dance and ambient/drone duo.
- YYY (Austin Carson): a production set of fast breakbeats, intimate piano and nostalgic synth textures on a computerless setup.
- Dosh + Naoise: Martin Dosh teams with his son Naoise for "a more droney and darker sound."
Doors open at 6:30 PM and the show starts at 7 PM. The show is seated and all ages, at 416 Cedar Avenue S., Minneapolis. More information is at noiseparty.org.
