Hardware-electronics act Manual Controller is on an all-ages triple bill at Day Block Brewery (1105 S. Washington Ave., Minneapolis) on Friday, October 23, alongside Adult Enrichment and Robot Slide. mnVibe also lists Papabear for the night. Manual Controller is a Minneapolis project built around all-hardware production, so this live-electronics bill is a natural fit.
The organizers describe "three bands all incorporating live electronics in their full-band setups," promising it'll "sound and feel real, real niiiiice." Between acts, synth meetup regular Evgeny Bashirov will fill the gaps with original synth and sampler grooves, and there will be video art and live painting during the night. mnVibe tags it modular, experimental and shoegaze.
Doors are at 6 PM, and the night runs until about 10 PM. The listing gives the price as $10 in advance and $15 day of. Check the listing for any updates before you head out.
